SlimLine Elite is built on Reynaers SlimLine 38, an aluminum system designed from the start to look like narrow steel profiles. It opens inward or outward, comes in distinct design variants, and carries an NFRC certification. For a steel-look project that has to pass a plan review with a tested number, it's our first suggestion.
Design variants
SlimLine 38 looks include Classic (traditional stepped profile), Ferro (the closest to rolled steel) and Cubic (square, modern). Concealed hinges and concealed drainage keep the outside clean.
Inswing or outswing
Most European windows open inward. SlimLine Elite also opens outward, the way original steel casements did. That matters on renovations where the interior has deep sills, radiators or built-ins in the way, and on facades where the outward-opening look is part of the history. See outswing casement windows.

Tested performance
Product data lists air tightness class 4, water tightness class 9A (600 Pa), wind load class C4 and burglar resistance to PAS 24 / RC2, all European test classes. Sound reduction is up to 45–47 dB with acoustic glass. A nailing-fin accessory and install guide exist for North American framing.
