MB-79N Pro is where aluminum starts making sense on a normal budget. It's a three-chamber thermally broken system, 70 mm deep at the frame and 79 mm at the sash, with insulating inserts and a two-part center gasket in the SI version we offer. It gives you aluminum's slim lines and color range for a DADU, a spec home or a modern remodel, without stepping up to the architectural systems.

Three ways to open from one family

• Tilt-and-turn and fixed: the standard inswing window.
• Outswing casement: for kitchens and rooms where an inswing sash would hit a faucet, blinds or a deep sill. See outswing casement.
• Hidden sash: the opening sash hides behind the frame, so opening and fixed windows look identical from outside. The glass in both sits in the same plane, and the frame-plus-sash band is only about 2.6″ tall. Pick a frame that covers part of the sash or one that covers all of it.

Awning (top-hung) and tilt-slide windows are also possible in this family. Parts like beads and gaskets are shared across versions, which keeps a mixed house consistent. The same profiles also make single and double entry doors and glass storefronts with doors.

Why a DADU builder would pick it

DADUs and backyard cottages are small, modern and closely watched by neighbors. Dark aluminum frames with even sightlines look sharp, and a hidden-sash version means the one window that opens doesn't look different from the fixed ones. The center gasket and inserts give it real insulation for a small building that's easy to overheat or chill.

On a DADU, the windows are half the design. MB-79N gets you the look without blowing the budget.

Standard hardware, easy service

The system uses the standard "Euro-groove" hardware channel shared by most European aluminum and uPVC windows. Hidden hardware sets are available, with concealed hinges so nothing shows on the sash edge, and handles come with or without a visible rosette. Standard hardware means parts are available and adjustable for decades.
