Lift-and-slide patio doors

Ordinary sliding doors stay on their rollers all the time, so their seals are brushes that the panel rubs past. A lift-and-slide door is different. Turn the handle and the panel lifts onto rollers and glides; turn it back and the panel drops onto its gaskets and locks. You get big moving glass and a real seal.

Which lift-and-slide systems can we supply?

  • uPVC lift-and-slide: matches our uPVC windows, with a nearly flush floor transition.
  • Aluminum lift-and-slide (MB-77HS family): panels up to about 10′7″ tall and 10′9″ wide, up to 600 kg; narrow meeting stile; low or flush threshold; 2- or 3-track frames; matches MB-86 windows.
  • Wood / wood-aluminum lift-and-slide (Synergic): frameless fixed glazing, flush floor frame, panels up to about 3.6 m tall and 300 kg.

Lift, slide, drop. That drop is the seal you don't get on a normal slider.

Thresholds and drainage in our rain

A flush threshold looks great and needs careful drainage design. We'll detail drainage, slab recess and deck height with your builder.
